kozhi kuzhambu in Tamil Style Masala Ingredients
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Pepper - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds- 2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
Red Chilli dried - 12
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Tamil chicken kozhi Gravy ingredients
Big onions - 3
Tomato - 2

Sautéing ingredients
Biryani leaves (brinji leaf) - 2
Cinnamon - 1 piece
Clove - 2
Annachi flower - 1
Salt – required
Oil - required amount

Chettinad kozhi kuzhambu recipe without coconut Prepration
  • The taste of the recipe resembles naatu kozhi kuzhambu recipe
  • Clean and chop the chicken pieces, keep it aside
  • Dry fry the coriander seeds, cumin seeds, chillies, and pepper.
  • Grind the fried ingredients nicely with turmeric powder.
  • Chop the onion and tomatoes, keep it aside.
  • Take a vessel or pressure cooker, add oil and heat it.
  • Then add the sautéing ingredients one by one.
  • Add onion and tomatoes and fry for five minutes in medium flame.
  • Then add the ground Chettinad kozhi kuzhambu recipe masala.
  •  Sauté for some time and add the chicken pieces and salt.
  • Add water and let to cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • If the chicken is cooked well remove from the stove.

Ingredients for Tamil samayal chicken kuzhambu Recipe
Kozhi (chicken) - 1 kg
Clove - 2
Cinamon - 2
Cumin seeds powder - 1 tsp
Anise - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - half tsp
Coriander powder – 2tsp
Muntiriparuppu – 100gm
Coconut – 1 cup
Salt – as required
Ginger and garlic paste - 2 tsp
Curry leaves - little
Red Chilli – 4
Poppy seeds 1tsp
Tomato – 4 no
Onion Big - 3
Oil - 250 g

How to prepare Tamil chicken kulambu (kozhi Kuzhambu)
  Make Masala in chettinad chicken samayal tamil Recipe Style
Take cumin seed powder, turmeric powder, anise powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, poppy seeds, coconut and cashew nuts. Grind nicely and make a paste. This is Tamil samayal chicken kuzhambu masala.

  • Take vessel, add some oil and let to heat.
  • Put curry leaves, anise, red chilli, cinnamon and onion in the oil.
  • Fry the chopped onions into golden brown.
  • Then add the ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes.
  • Now add chicken pieces stir nicely for ten minutes.
  • Add the ground Tamil chicken kuzhambu masala paste.
  • Add salt and required water close the lid and let to cook.
  • If the chicken is properly cooked remove from the stove
  • Alternatively you can use pressure to cook the chicken fast.

Vendhaya Keerai Poriyal recipe Tamil Kootu Preparation


Vendhaya Keerai Poriyal
Vendhaya keerai poriyal Tamil prepration is very healthy and it is rich in vitamin and minerals. You can also prepare vendhaya keerai kootu by adding toor dal.
vendhaya keerai – 1 bunch
Big onion  - 2
Red chillies - 5
 Mustard – 1tsp
urad dal - 1tsp
Oil as required
Grated coconut - /4cup
Salt as required
Sugar a pinch
Fried ground nut - ¼ cup

How to prepare Vendhaya keerai Poriyal Recipe
You can prepare any keerai piriyal in this method
  • Clean and chop the fenugreek spinach.
  • Chop the onion and cut the green chillies.
  • Take a frying pan and add little oil
  • Splutter the mustard, urad dal and add the chopped onion
  • Fry well and add chillies,   vendhaya keerai, sugar and salt.
  • Sprinkle little water and let to cook, if it is cooked
  • Add grated coconut and broken (each ground nut into 3 to 4 pieces)ground nut.
  • Stir twice after adding coconut and ground nut, switch off the stove.
  • Vendhaya keerai poriyal recipe is ready, it is the side dish for sambar rice   

Note: Sugar, coconut and pea nut reduce the bitter taste of vendhaya keerai.
In vendhaya keerai kootu Tamil preparation add 1/4cup of boiled toor dal instead of coconut with the above mentioned recipe.

Milk ½ cup
Water ½ cup
Dry ginger called Sukku in Tamil 1tsp
Coriander powder called Malli powder in Tamil 1/2tsp

Jaggery or sugar as required for taste

Mix milk and water, keep it to boil, 
When it boils add turmeric powder mix well
Keep the stove in sim flame, and then add malli powder and sukku powder
Finally add pepper powder, and jaggery mix well and let to boil for a minute in sim flame.

Green chilli – 1
Onion leaves – 1
Coriander leaves – little

Kaima Idli masala podi ingredients
Turmeric powder – 1.2tsp
Chilli powder – 1/2tsp
Garam masala – 1/4tsp
Salt as required

How to make Kaima Idli Saravana Bhavan Recipe
You can easily prepare Kaima idli at home,
1. Wash and chop the given kaima idly chopping ingredients and keep it side.
2. Cut the idli to small triangle or diamond shape and add little oil.
3. Keep the oil mixed idli in oven (in 400 f for 10 min) fry in the non stick pan.
4. Take a pan and add little oil, and mustard then add curry leaves, chilli and onion.
5. If it becomes golden brown then add the tomato sauce and all masala powder, mix for 3 to 4 minutes.
6. Add fried idli, let for 2 minutes (stir often), now add the onion leaves, lemon juice.
7. Add coriander leaves and fry for again five minutes in sim flame.
8. Best Side dish for  Kaima idli recipe is  Thayir pachadi.

Note: tomato sauce is unavailable you also use 1 toamto
You can also add the vegetables like capsicum, beans, carrot and cabbage (half boil with salt and add)

  • This is the best side dish for idli, dosa and rice.

  • Soak the Basmati rice for 15 minute and drain the water.
  • Take a pan and add 1tsp of ghee, fry the rice until it get separated completely.
  • Wash and cut the mushrooms, chop the onion, keep aside.
  • Make ginger garlic paste and cut the tomato into small pieces.
  • Take a pressure cooker, add oil and sauté the given ingredients by adding one by one.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste, onion and tomatoes. Fry well.
  • Add mushroom pieces and peas, put salt and chillli powder.
  • Pour double the amount of water (2 cups), add rice if it boils.
  • Close the lid and wait for a whistle, open the stove and add some ghee for taste.

Tamil Fish Curry Easy Karaikudi Style Samayal Recipe

Tamil Fish Curry : Today I am going to share the preparation of Tamil Fish Curry recipe. Meen recipe preparation in this method is very delicious and I learned this traditional Tamil fish curry from my grand mother. Karaikudi fish curry tamil Style and Chettinad fish curry Tamil cooking is very popular all around the state. Here, we people are using grated coconut but in Kerala fish curry Tamil cooking people usually use coconut milk for fish cooking.  The other dish namely dry fish curry Tamil Nadu preparation in hotel style is also very tasty.

Ingredients Needed to Prepare Fish Curry Tamil Nadu Style
Fish -1 / 2 kg
Onion – 200gm
Tomato – 200gm
Garlic – 1/4cup
Turmeric powder -1 / 4 tsp
Chilly -4 tsp
Coriander powder -2 tsp
Mustard – 1tsp
Cumin seeds powdered – 2tsp
Poppy seeds – 1/2tsp
Fenugreek seeds – 1/2tsp
Tamarind – lemon sized
Salt and oil - as needed
Coconut – ½ cup
Tamil Fish Curry Grinding ingredients
(Dry fry and grind nicely)
Coriander powder, tomato
Cumin powder, poppy seeds,
Chilli, curry leaves, coconut

How to cook fish curry Tamil Style
This is the recipe of Fish curry in Tamil language people preparation.
Clean and cut the fish into medium sized pieces,
Soak the tamarind in hot water and extract juice, keep it aside,
Take a pan, add some oil, heat and sauté mustard, fenugreek seeds,
Then put curry leaves and ground fish curry Tamil masala,
Mix well for 2 minutes, add salt and pour tamarind juice,
Let the kuzhambu (gravy) to boil for some time (10minutes)
Now add the fish carefully, switch off the stove for a single boil.
The very delicious Tamil fish curry with coconut is ready to taste.
Note: instead of using grated coconut for grinding masala you can prepare Tamil  fish curry using coconut milk (grind and extract 1 glass of coconut milk for this measurement).

  • Then add the basmati rice, salt and add double the water and let for a whistle,
